Happy New Year to all!

There is a meeting at the Scout Hall at 2000hrs on the above date for those interested in the proposed further development of Dromroe.  Pat Keogh will be there, presenting his plans for extending the estate.

Please bring your views and opinions to the table, and he will answer all questions.

Complaints on Dog Barking in Dromroe

There have been so many complaints the past few months, about dogs barking throughout the night in the area.  From little yappy shrill ones to large loud ones.

If you are an owner of such a dog, and you seem to have a perfect ability to sleep whilst 'Fido' renditions his version of the dawn chorus; Please spare a though for the rest of the estate.  Did you know that at night time, a dog bark can be heard up to 500m away?

If you are unable to keep your dog quiet for whatever reason, then please either bring them in your house, or share with us your secret of not being driven insane by incessant barking.

Ensure your car is safe at night.

BEWARE - Thieves in the Area

Just to let you know, thieves are operating in the Rhebogue area.  Thefts are taking place from aluminium and chrome car fixings and trims, to exhaust pipes, parts and Catalytic Converters!!!

Make sure you have your cars alarmed and in well lit areas.

Residents Meeting Notes

It was decided at the last residents meeting held at the Old Scout Hall, Rhebogue Rd, on Monday 22nd August; that there would be 4 meetings in total per year.  3 Meetings per year for the Residents Committee and 1 Annual General Meeting for all residents.


It is important to note that this Blog may be used to email gripes, concerns, Ideas and maintain general contact with the community here.  EVERY email will be answered and annonymity is guaranteed if you so wish.

There are many concerns still in and around the estate which will be addressed here in the coming weeks, so please visit often and let us know if you would like to have your say.

Meeting Tonight 8pm Old Scout Hall - Rhebogue Rd

Just to confirm that the Residents Association meeting will be held tonight at the Old Scout Hall on the Rhebogue Road.

Break-Ins Happening in Dromroe

Please be aware that there are a series of break-ins happening in the area at the moment.  Last night the Respite homes and the houses next door had their sheds and cars broken into and money, cigarettes and other sundry items were stolen.

Please ensure that you report any suspicious behaviour to Henry Street and contact the Community Garda if you have plans to be away, as they will ensure an extra presence in the area on top of regular patrols.

Residents Meeting Postponed until 22nd August @ 20:00hrs

Just a note to say that due to vacation commitments and absentees, the meeting scheduled for 4th July then 18th July is now rescheduled as per the above time.  We are hoping to hold this meeting in the 'Scout Hall', watch this space for further updates and come here first to ensure that the meeting is still on.

Just an apology for all the times that this keeps getting postponed, only we have to ensure as maximum attendance as we can in order to get a better idea of peoples comments and views etc on the estate and how it is run.
