First Residents Meeting Held

The first residents association meeting was conducted on Thursday May 5th and held at St. Patricks GAA clubhouse.  The meeting was hosted by Cllr. Kieran O'Hanlon and supported by two members of the Gardai, Sergeant Ollie Kennedy, and Garda Tom Delaney.

Topics discussed were:

• Crime Prevention
• The unsafe wall at the top of the estate
• The name plaque for the estate
• Anti-Social behaviour and vandalism
• Social and community activities
• A 'Pick n Bag' day (tidying rubbish etc from the estate)
• A meeting proposed with estate developer Pat Keogh
• Child Safety

A respectable turnout of around 30 residents attended.  A Resident Committee was further established, comprising of 12 members, including a Chairperson and a Secretary.

Next residents meeting is to be held at the GAA ground again on June 2nd at 20:00hrs.
